What Happens During Dental Exams & Cleanings?
We often start the appointment by taking x-rays of your teeth. The hygienist will then begin cleaning your teeth using special tools and instruments. The gums are then checked for signs of gingivitis and gum disease, and we can provide treatment as needed. Our doctor then comes in and performs an exam. Our goal is to check for cavities, loose or broken restorations, cracked teeth, fractures and even oral cancer. The appointment is quick and we can pre-schedule you to come back in another six months for another exam and cleaning.
