Dental Bonding
What Is Dental Bonding?
Dental bonding is a cosmetic procedure that helps to correct minor flaws at the very front of your smile. Bonding uses composite resin material, which is sturdy, stable and long-lasting. We match the material exactly to the rest of your teeth so that it blends in flawlessly. You can utilize bonding to cover gaps, spaces, cracks and chips in your teeth.

Why Would Dental Bonding Be Needed?
Dental bonding can last upwards of 10 years with proper care and routine oral hygiene. We can perform an exam to determine if bonding is needed.
You may benefit from bonding if your teeth are:
- Cracked
- Chipped
- Discolored
- Stained
- Gapped
- Spaced
- Uneven

Who’s a Good Candidate for Dental Bonding?
We can perform an exam to determine if bonding is the right cosmetic option for you. In some cases, additional treatment is needed in order to preserve the tooth and get rid of underlying decay. Most patients who want bonding done can safely have the procedure completed in our office. Bonding is noninvasive with most procedures requiring no anesthetic.
What Can You Expect With Dental Bonding?
We start by preparing the tooth for the bonding material by applying a gel to the tooth. We color match the composite we’ll use with the rest of your teeth. Next, we place the composite over the tooth and smooth it into place. It’s then cured with a bright light so that it hardens into place. We can bond one or several teeth at a time as needed. Bonding can last for about 10 years before you may need to have it replaced with new material. The procedure can be done in about a half hour in our office and requires little to no anesthetic. The results are drastic and can completely transform your smile in a way that you feel confident in the way that you look.
